About BOTR
God has transformed and grown BOTR over the years from a handful of people in a living room to a small church that is continually filled up and emptied out as teams are sent here, there, and everywhere to share His love and hope with the nations of the world.
Our Core Values & Vision
Our core values and the base of our church are to know God, live family, and reach people. We utilize our Sunday gatherings, community groups, and ministry teams as our means to know connect with people and build out these values. In doing so, we will help achieve our vision: to transform live from generation to generation.

A Family of Churches
Building on the Rock acts as a single campus church and is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (CM&A). Since 1884 The Alliance has been committed to growing healthy leaders and planting healthy churches across our nation and around the world.
Through our denomination, our members have planted and still partner with several churches in the New Jersey area and around the world, including:
Main Street Alliance in Manahawkin, NJ
Riverside Chapel in Florence, NJ
Living Water Community Church in Bayville, NJ
Alive Again Alliance in Toms River, NJ
True Life Church in Brick, NJ
Every few Sundays, we try and have a unity service to bring together everyone across several of these partner churches. After all, we are one body, one family, and it’s important for us to join the larger family to worship as one.
